Carnival Breeze departed Galveston yesterday afternoon for a four-night cruise. The ship will sail at around 70 percent capacity with 95 percent of guests vaccinated, leaving five percent open to children and adults who cannot receive the vaccine. The five percent sailing unvaccinated were placed on an exemption list. Carnival has been the number one cruise operator from Galveston and the only cruise operator with three year-round ships at the port. Carnival Vista, Carnival Breeze, and Carnival Dream operate 150 voyages annually from Galveston, carrying an estimated 750,000 passengers a year.
