We have been on the ship for over a day now and the one thing that has surprised us about this cruise restart is the social distancing measures. When we sailed on Adventure of the Seas two weeks ago, there were quite different social distancing measures. You could not it at bars, and there was added spacing in lounges, the theater, and restaurants. Now, on Celebrity Edge cruise restart, there are none of these protocols. The ship is sailing with over 99% of individuals onboard vaccinated. Plus, the ship is sailing at 36% capacity. Still, this really surprised us given the two cruise lines have the same parent company. We still feel completely safe, and those onboard are imposing some distancing measures. Also, there are no signs or markers anywhere on the ship indicating distancing. Even though the CDC has indicated these measures are not needed when cruising with 95% vaccinated passengers, we still anticipated there would be some changes.
