About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description↓

This weeks cruise ship news is more personal to our channel. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us and checked in on us in the last month. We have had a serious reminder of how important experiences and people are over things. Thank you to all our friends and family who have helped us out and checked in. It was a really stressful and hard month and you all helped us so much, words can not explain how thankful we are. Let's start our cruise news with what happened. Aron had an underlying condition called PSC which affects the liver and could lead to a liver transplant. We aren't sure what happened but since mid april his liver was rapidly getting worse and he went into multi-organ failure, at this time he was admitted to the hospital for treatment. We are so thankful that a match was found before Aron got any weaker. The transplant surgery was 12 hours and went very smoothly. Since surgery Aron has been working hard and following the doctors and nurses instructions so he can heal and recover. I am so proud of how hard he has been working and all he has already accomplished. We want to take a second to give a huge thank you to our hospital, Toronto General in Toronto, Ontario Canada which is ranked as the 4th best hospital in North America, the largest transplant center in North America and for transplants #1 in the world. Having been a patient, I can affirm it's amazing from the hard working nurses, doctors, transportation services and custodians everyone was amazing and honestly from the bottom of our hearts thank you to all of you. When we share our cruise ship news our motto has always been to Choose experiences over stuff that's never been more true to us than now, you’ll remember sailing through the Norwegian Fjords or that beautiful Alaska wildlife for a lifetime and while in the hospital that's what gave us the most comfort. We enjoyed reminiscing and laughing at some of our travel experiences. We have so many positive experiences and memories on our Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean cruise and different excursions. This will have some impact on our channel cruise updates. We love Traveling Flamingo, being part of this community and working to bring you quality content to help you plan your memorable trip. We have lots of fresh content that we will continue to be bringing to you. Like the CoCo beach club, Celebrity cruises dress code explained, an Odyssey of the seas ship tour and more. Until Aron is recovered Linda will be doing all the scripts and editing. Lastly, please consider organ donation. We are so thankful to this anonymous person and their family, that they were an organ donor and saved Aron’s life. Unfortunately many places are β€œopt in” and not β€œopt out”. We know its a hard topic to discuss but by being an organ donor you could save 8 lives and improve the lives of 75 more people. In the US there are over 100,000 people on organ donation waiting lists with nearly 1 death per hour or 8,000 per year. Many people wait years for an organ while their health deteriorates slowly taking away their independence. If you’re in the USA please check out https://www.organdonor.gov to signup to be an organ donor. For those fellow Canadians go to https://organtissuedonation.ca and while you’re at it don't forget to donate blood. lso thank you to everyone who has liked, subscribed and joined our flamingo family. It has been a lovely distraction to connect with all of you and work on growing our little channel. Thanks for sticking with us and please, Choose experiences over stuff. Happy, and safe travels. 🦩 -=-=- Music -=-=- Epidemic Sound: Tropical by Timothy Infinite https://www.epidemicsound.com/track/3...
