Trying Celebrity for the First Time: Will Reflection Live Up to the Hype?

We’re especially looking forward to: The Solarium, an air‑conditioned, semi‑outdoor pool space — “I like sort of an air‑conditioned but semi‑outdoor space.” Seeing whether Celebrity’s food really is “better than any other class,” as so many people claim. Experiencing AquaClass after winning a bid upgrade (“I think I only bid like $50 a person”). Dining in Blu and trying out the spa — including the steam room, sauna, and the mysterious ice room. Checking out the Ice Martini Bar and the live‑music venues Celebrity is known for. 🛳️ Embarkation Day Plan We like to board early, film B‑roll, and settle in. Even though our check‑in time is 11 AM, we plan to arrive around 10 AM. We’re also excited that Celebrity lets you drop your luggage in your room immediately after boarding — “every cruise line should do that.” After that: lunch → muster → ship tour → filming the full walkthrough for you. 🌴 Ports on This Cruise Key West — We’ve only been by car, so arriving by cruise ship is something we’ve always wanted to experience. Bimini — We’ve been many times, so we may stay onboard and enjoy the spa, but we’ll still film what we can. 🤔 What We’re Concerned About Whether Celebrity’s younger, “hipper” vibe fits our more traditional cruise style — “I like formal night, tuxedos… we’re old school cruisers.” The drink package, which is far more expensive than Princess Plus and doesn’t match our drinking habits.
