Universal's upcoming theme park, Epic Universe, is in full swing! I stopped by the construction site to get a look at some of the work being done before heading over to Universal Studios. First major thing I noticed was the sign has been added back to the front entrance of City Walk. Once inside Universal Studios, I had a quick lunch at Cafe La Bamba, which is now open full time! They serve burritos, tacos and bowls and the food was actually pretty good. Could very well end up being some of the best quick-service food on property, outside of some of the dishes in the Wizarding World. I also stopped by the site of the Mardi Gras tribute store, which has moved to Hollywood, and purchased our Tribute Store bottle. Be on the lookout for us when you visit the Mardi Gras tribute store this season! Woody Woodpecker's Kid Zone has officially closed and is walled up with a bunch of Dreamworks characters displayed. I do think that Dreamworks will be the overlay that this area will get, since it's where most of Universal's kids properties exist. Some of the Mardi Gras food booths were out and I discussed everything coming to this year's event, including a NEW overlay of the Red Coconut Club, which will be called the Cursed Coconut Club. After, I stopped at Island's of Adventure for a quick ride on the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man.
