YouTube Video Description

We explored the Mexican Riviera aboard the Nieuw Amsterdam with Holland America Line as part of our 24-Day Mexican Riviera & Circle Hawaii Cruise, also known as “How Wisconsinites avoid winter.” Our adventure kicked off in Puerto Vallarta, where we toured the city, strolled the famous Malecón, spotted the iconic Seahorse statue, enjoyed local dancers, and crushed some excellent beachside tacos. Things escalated quickly at Chili Tequila, followed by the Mayanuel Show and a tequila master class—which definitely increased our appreciation for Mexico’s most famous export. Next up was Mazatlán, where we hopped on a catamaran to Isla de Venados (Deer Island). Once anchored, Patti jumped straight into the ocean, while Rob bravely volunteered to stay on board and supervise from the shade. After a late lunch, we returned to port for souvenir shopping and the traditional cruise-port sport of haggling, which Rob still insists could be avoided by just telling him the price. We wrapped things up in Cabo San Lucas with a Land and Sea excursion, cruising past Land’s End and El Arco, touring the area by bus, visiting a glass-blowing factory, and strolling through the laid-back streets of San José del Cabo. Three ports, great food, beautiful scenery, tequila decisions, and minimal regrets—just another unforgettable Mexican Riviera adventure. 👉 Join us on Facebook in our Rob Mob Group: https://m.facebook.com/groups/226708843531001
