We are in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and are in Munising to see the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore… but first there is a waterfall! Right at the National Parks Visitor Center is a short trail to Munising Falls. This is very different that Tahquamenon Falls that we were just at… this is a small, but elegant style waterfall deep in a scenic crevasse. Did you know that there is a lot more to do here than just see the Pictured Rocks??? We also went on a glass bottom boat tour of shipwrecks in Lake Superior, had a pasty which is supposed to be one of the best in Michigan and went to the beach! Sand Point Beach is not shown as a ‘beach’ on the signs so it was not planned into our day… but we loved it so much there that we rescheduled our cruise to the Rocks to stay. The next day, we make it out to see the Lakeshore via boat with Pictured Rocks Cruises. This is definitely the best way to see this beautiful lakeshore!!
