Cruise lines have already suspended operations until mid-May. Could that be extended? Here's why we think cruises likely won't get back to sailing until August, or possibly later. While the outbreak appears to be slowing, it will still take months to recover. Meanwhile, many places have stay at home orders, and there are still 10 times as many cases right now as in mid-March when the cruise lines paused operations. The CDC has also extended a "No Sail Order" that could last for a while. All these points appear to us to mean months before cruises can sail again. #cruise
