How to wing it in Iceland? We went to Isafjordur, Iceland and had no plans. Vigur Island is a small, picturesque island located in the Ísafjarðardjúp fjord in the Westfjords of Iceland. It is known for its rich birdlife, including large colonies of puffins, Arctic terns, and other seabirds. The island is a popular spot for birdwatching, especially during the summer months when the puffins are nesting. Vigur is also known for its traditional eiderdown farming, where eider ducks’ down feathers are sustainably collected to make high-quality products.
