The ship set sail with 1000 passengers on board and even including unvaccinated children, 97% of the guests onboard are fully vaccinated. - Carnival are accelerating their plan to sell the older and smaller cruise ships owned by the company. - German cruise line AIDA was meant to receive a new cruise ship in 2023 but along with the Costa Magica, she will be transferred to the Carnival Cruise Line. - In the UK, P&O Cruises Britannia and Saga's Spirit of Discovery have set sail. Many cruise lines are operating British Isles cruises from the UK this summer with more cruise lines to join later in the year. - European cruise brands are expected to grow in capacity by 20% in the next two years. The largest companies currently in the market are MSC Cruises, AIDA Cruises, and Costa Cruises. - The newest ship for MSC will be launched in 2022 and will be called the MSC Seascape.
