About our Bacon Score methodology

What Creators Are Saying

Selected quotes from our creator panel.

The Good

It's a 10 out of 10 program that makes the ship feel like a giant playground while maintaining a very safe and very structured environment.

For one person, this bathroom is an absolute home run in terms of efficiency.

I'm absolutely impressed with these. Like, these solo cabins, y'all. Plenty of room.

The staff members there were absolutely great, super friendly, incredibly outgoing, and they genuinely tried their best to take care of everyone.

Instead of a chaotic, tired, overcrowded mess, we found a ship that was really fresh and beautiful, incredibly well-paced and organized, and really just full of pleasant surprises.

The Watch-outs

I just spent seven nights in the tiniest cabin on a Royal Caribbean ship, and it was also the worst cabin on this ship.

You're dragging heavy, multiple heavy, multi-week cruise suitcases over Italian sidewalks and uneven cobblestones for 20 to 30 minutes in the Mediterranean heat.

The hack for 2026 is avoiding the guaranteed cabin at all costs.

The reason why this is the worst cabin to book is because that's going to happen throughout your entire cruise.

The single biggest mistake that you can make here is trying to walk from the train station to the port.

Pro Tips From Creators

The most-shared advice for CruiseAholics Anonymous.

  1. Check the location of your cabin to ensure you aren't directly above a public congregating or smoking area.

  2. Use the overhead cubbies to store laptops since the safe is too small.

  3. Slide large suitcases under the elevated bed frame to save space.

  4. Ask housekeeping to remove extra hangers to prevent them from clanking against the walls at night.

  5. You should not be rolling your big luggage onto the ship. That should always be checked with the porter.

  6. Do not walk from the train station to the port; use the local CSP or port link bus instead.

  7. If using official cruise line transfers or private cars, you can bypass the Largo della Pace staging area.

  8. Double-check the cruise line logo on the white luggage tents to avoid lost bags.
