HI all, I’m Laura Armitage (also known as Laurie), and I’m excited to share my health journey with you. I will be 75 this year, and I feel amazing! I’ve never felt better in my life! I became a WFPB vegan 27 years ago but didn’t seriously begin taking off excess weight until October 17th, 2016. In about a year and a half, I took off eighty pounds, which was about a hundred pounds down from my highest weight ever. I was able to finally take the weight off because of Chef AJ and John Pierre’s Ultimate Weight Loss Program! I was seventy when I started their program, and the weight came off easily. I gave away my scale, and just ate until full of SOS free whole foods. I feel so amazing all of the time now! My husband and I have eight children (six of them were foster children that we adopted), and twelve grandchildren. Our grandchildren range in age from six to twenty-eight. Most of my time is spent enjoying a very active life with grandchildren. My favorite activities include bike riding, race walking, strength training and Qigong. I also love cooking and preparing whole food plant based meals – especially when grandkids can help me! Even during COVID, I’m able to walk three to six miles most days, and I’ve even entered some virtual races! What a wonderful life! I hope that my story, with lots and lots of false starts, can help you in some way.
