How to Visit Antwerp (Belgium) in ONE DAY! City Tour!

It is our last day in Belgium and we almost didn't make it to Antwerp!! The locks in the river were broken and we could not get through. So AmaWaterways came through and made it to where we would not miss our port! They took us to the city by bus and we still were able to do a guided walking tour of the city. But, they also gave us 50 Euros for lunch and arranged it so that we could sample Belgian chocolates, Belgian waffles and Belgian beer for free! Also, with our ship card we were able to see the inside of the cathedral after mass was over (since it was a Sunday). The walking tour was interesting and informative and we were able to see parts of the city that dated back to Medieval times and learned that Antwerp was one of the richest cities in the world. Also, I found it interesting to see that the very rich could be buried inside the cathedral, the rich buried in front and the poor in a field... which is now where the Christmas Market is held. Once on our own, we wandered the city for a bit until the restaurant opened that was to give us our beer samples since we had decided to eat lunch there as well. That food was amazing!!! Jason had rabbit stew and I (Alisa) had a beef stew. Both were simple but extremely flavorful! Oh, and the beer was pretty great too.
