So you want to be a Nomad Part 5 : The Tech & Apps you need to be a Nomad. Firestick and Airalo

Welcome to Part Five of our series on how to become a Nomad. Today we talk about the Tech and Apps you need to be a Nomad. It takes up so much real estate in our carry on and it's such an important part of our lives we need to make sure we get it right. We start with something we use everyday. Our Amazon Firestick 4K which allows us to watch TV from anywhere in the world in a hotel or cruise ship. We then talk about our power adapters, another essential before we move into Helen's hairdryer. It's more of a luxury than essential but for Helen it is certainly important. We then go onto our Anker Nana Magsafe Powerbank which we use to charge on the go and our Anker Prime 6 in 1 charging station which we use every day in hotels, cruises or AirBnB's. We back up all our photos, videos and information onto our Sandisk 2TB SSD's which are so slim and so important to keep all our information safe. When you are on the road, and this is essential for everybody, if you are a Nomad or not a VPN is essential to keep your information secure on your phone, computer and any device you connect to the internet. While we are traveling our phones are essential so we need them to be connected wherever we are in the world. We use Airalo Esim, Google Voice and WhatsApp together which allows us to communicate throughout the world. When English is not the first language Google Translate and Google Lens are essential so we order the right food or follow instructions, it really makes life that much easier. We then talk about region specific apps, like Line in Thailand and Grab in South East Asia. The list is many and varied but it's pretty easy to find out what you need wherever you are in the world. After we show you some hints and tips we show you how to install a Firestick onto a TV with Hospitality mode activated. This is step by step so you can pause and follow along. We have used this in hotels all over the world, cruise ships, AirBnB's so follow along and you should get sorted. Lastly we give you a step by step guide to install an Airalo esim. It's pretty easy to make a mistake so you can do all of this before you arrive. Then you just turn it on and you can communicate all you want.
