Welcome back to Mer Cruises Solo! The Valiant Lady arrived in Tortola, British Virgin Islands (BVI) early this morning and I have an AMAZING excursion booked - I have no idea what all is in store, but I know we'll be taking a ferry to Virgin Gorda and visiting The Baths, a place I have been so excited to visit for years! I finally get to experience this amazing place, and you won't want to miss both part 1 and part 2 of this port on my Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady cruise out of San Juan, Puerto Rico! In the first part, we take a ferry over to Virgin Gorda and dock at a gorgeous resort nestled in a cove in Leverick Bay. We get a full hour+ to spend here, with a welcome drink and a large buffet spread included! We have access to loungers, hammocks, the beach area, pool, bars and covered seating areas at the resort. Following the resort time, we hop onto open-air buses and start the drive across the island to The Baths. Along the way we stop at three beautiful lookout points, one of which gives us a direct view of Richard Branson's island, "Necker Island"! The water is absolutely GORGEOUS at Virgin Gorda - maybe the most beautiful island I've ever been to in the Caribbean yet! If you ever stop at Tortola on a cruise, a ferry to Virgin Gorda is a must! Once we get to the baths, this episode ends and you will want to tune in to part 2 to see the stunning scenery, beach, rocks, and water at The Baths!! This episode got a bit lengthy while I was editing, and rather than cut out any of the gorgeous scenery and clear blue water, I split it into two parts so you can watch them separately at your leisure. Have you been to Virgin Gorda before? What did you think and would you recommend any other excursions or areas to explore?! Leave a comment with your thoughts below!!
