AmaViola is a luxury river ship offering 78 spacious staterooms, most with twin balconies, Entertainment-On-Demand, and more. Built in 2016, this is a smaller river cruising vessel. Is a balcony worth it? It's down to personal preference and budget. **If finances allow, I highly recommend a balcony option. It is worth noting that one morning, you could have an incredible view over the river, but the next day, the view could be of a dock wall and your balcony becomes less important. I loved my balcony and would book it again, especially in the warmer months. There is really no dress code: Casually elegant outfits and something a little dressier for the Captain's Dinner, La Chaine des Rotisseurs dinner or an evening concert are recommended. Comfortable shoes are recommended for excursions and workout clothing if you plan to take part in any wellness activities, active tours or use the onboard gym. Kids are welcome though there are no specific activities. AmaViola offers a variety of dining experiences, including a main restaurant with buffet options, a Chef's Table with a tasting menu, and a lounge with casual snacks. The Main Restaurant provides a full buffet breakfast with made-to-order specialties, a lunch buffet with salads, hot entrees, and desserts, and a multi-course dinner with local specialties. The Chef's Table offers a tasting menu with wine pairings. The Main Lounge also serves breakfast, sandwiches, salads, cookies, and late-night snacks. I 100% LOVED this crusie and I am planning another. I have experienced another river cruise but this is by the best. The staff sets this company as the front runner!
