This place is a dream come true for animal lovers. We got to pat a koala, feed kangaroos by hand, and explore the beautiful sanctuary grounds filled with iconic Aussie wildlife. Lone Pine is the oldest and largest koala sanctuary in the world, and it's home to over 100 koalas, plus emus, wombats, dingoes, echidnas, and even a platypus! It was the perfect pre-cruise day trip, just 20 minutes from downtown Brisbane, and an awesome way to kick off our next journey at sea. Whether you're traveling through Queensland or just want to check something off your bucket list, this place is a must-see.
