http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com (Before Ukraine problems) Embarkation on Viking Lomonosov for a 12-day river cruise down the Dnieper River through the heart of Ukraine. This cruise runs in both directions, between Kiev-Odessa or Odessa-Kiev.We selected the Kiev-Odessa itinerary, strictly by happen chance and, in hindsight, think this is the better option. The Lomonosov is one of Viking's older (and smaller) ships without elevators between decks. Make sure you are mobile enough to climb stairs! If so, this delightful cruise will comfortably take you through Ukraine.
