A cruise to Australia is high up on our bucket list! To visit Sydney and sail by the Sydney Opera House and see the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a dream! Plus Brisbane's koala sanctuary, Airlie Beach, Moreton Island, and all of the other Australian sites draw us back to research Australian cruise options again and again. In October 2022, several of our friends are headed to Australia to sail on the Carnival Splendor. What they didn't know, until recently, is that they need to have their Electronic Travel Authority - essentially an Australian travel visa that's tied to your passport. In this special-edition video, we cover both the travel requirements for an Australian cruise along with the key things you need to consider when applying for an ETA. While we share a lot of facts in this video for you, our bigger goal is to bring more visibility to this critical travel requirement when visiting Australia. Had our friends not joined a Facebook group where they saw people talking about the ETA, they would have missed out on their dream vacation. As always, just a quick reminder that this video does not provide legal and/or visa guidance for every situation. Each traveler is unique and you should refer to the below websites or speak to your travel advisor for specifics. We do, however, hope that this awareness is helpful and reduces the stress you may otherwise experience as you get ready for your bucket list cruise.
