We started the morning on the ship, then headed into Cartagena and booked a 1-hour private taxi tour right from the port. It was a simple, easy way to see the highlights with kids: Coastal viewpoints & beach area (La Cortina) 🌊 City views from above and historic forts / castles Plaza stops, old streets and one of the oldest bars in the city Local insight from our English-speaking taxi driver After the tour, we were dropped in one of the main plazas and spent time walking the Old Town, grabbing coffee, letting the kids hunt for football trading cards, and doing a bit of shopping (of course 😄). We then walked over toward the Roman amphitheater and climbed up for an amazing viewpoint over the city and port. From there, it’s an easy 3–4 minute walk back to the ship. Tuvimos un día extra en Cartagena, España después de que cancelaran nuestra escala en Lisboa por mal tiempo… ¡y resultó ser una excelente sorpresa! Al bajar del crucero en Cartagena, tomamos un tour privado en taxi de 1 hora directamente desde la terminal. Fue una forma sencilla y cómoda de ver lo más importante con niños: - Miradores con vista a la costa y la playa (La Cortina) 🌊 - Vistas de la ciudad desde lo alto y fuertes / castillos históricos - Plazas principales, calles antiguas y uno de los bares más antiguos de la ciudad - Explicaciones de nuestro guía / taxista en inglés Después del tour, nos dejó en una de las plazas principales y seguimos el día caminando por el centro histórico, tomando café, dejando que los niños compraran tarjetas de fútbol y haciendo un poco de compras. Luego caminamos hacia el anfiteatro romano y subimos hasta un mirador con vistas increíbles de la ciudad y el puerto. Desde ahí, son solo 3–4 minutos caminando de regreso al barco.
