Creator's Key Takeaways

I'm currently in a cabin that faces backwards and the fact that it faces backward isn't the only strange thing about it

the balcony itself is absolutely huge and it is time probably that I talk about the elephant in the room

the view from the back of the ship was absolutely amazing and when we looked down there was nothing there at all

we Never Smell any smoke or any fumes in our cabin at all

Creator's Tips & Advice

Consider booking a backward-facing cabin for a unique experience and potentially a larger balcony
Be prepared for a longer walk to amenities if you choose a cabin at the back of the ship
Use the ship's app for daily schedules, but be aware it may not always work reliably

🆕New to Cruising? This Creator Addresses:

Motion sickness or fumes at the back of the shipNo smoke or fumes were smelled, and motion was not a significant issue
Distance to amenitiesThe walk is long, but it can be preferable as there's no need to decide direction when leaving the cabin

About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

Normally when you book a cruise you’ll have to decide where you want your cabin to be, most cruise ship cabins are pretty similar and if you’re booking a balcony you’ll usually be deciding where on these two sides you want your room. I’m currently in a cabin that faces backwards and the fact that it faces backward isn’t the only strange thing about it. We decided to book this cabin mostly out of curiosity and it definitely is different, there are some benefits and a couple of drawbacks that we hadn’t ever considered pre cruise. It’s actually my parents who are staying in this cabin and they’re quite used to cruising in regular balconies. Usually this section is reserved for suites though, so we’ve never stayed in a cabin like this before. When we booked this cruise it was our travel agent who suggested to us that we should try an aft balcony, aft being the proper word for the back of the ship. ▶ Stay up to date: http://EmmaCruises.com/News ▶ Let's get you on a cruise!: https://EmmaCruises.com/Book-a-Cruise/ *** ▶ Background World Map (Use Code EMMACRUISES For a Discount): https://enjoythewood.com/emmacruises ▶ Daylight Lamp: https://emmacruises.com/lamp ▶ Don't make the WORST CRUISE MISTAKE: https://emmacruises.com/cruise-travel-insurance-why-you-need-it-and-how-to-get-it-step-by-step-guide/ 🥳🥳 emma@emmacruises.com Join this channel to get access to exclusive perks like a weekly podcast and early ad free access to videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu4C8c3h9SKdkxnOwIAiHeA/join
