Creator's Key Takeaways
The embarkation process was very simple, everything was clearly marked, and there were always individuals who were able to help if you had a question or were lost or confused.
I'm excited because we don't need to be at the port for a little while we've got some time to kill this morning so we're gonna find some stuff but we're excited very very excited.
The food has been really disappointing... we've only eaten two places... it's lackluster at best.
Service has has been really good though... everybody's really friendly eager to please willing to help.

It's Embarkation Day! We could hardly wait to begin our Alaska cruise onboard the Grand Princess. We woke up really early, and found several more coffee shops surrounding our hotel to try, and went to the top of the Library, before finally taking an Uber with our luggage to the port. The embarkation process was very simple, everything was clearly marked, and there were always individuals who were able to help if you had a question or were lost or confused. It took us less than an hour from getting out of the Uber to actually walking onboard the ship! So fast! We found our stateroom and completed our muster drill before putting our Princess Premier package to good use at the Crooner's lounge. When we got hungry, we made our way up to the Horizon's buffet for a lackluster lunch. Then we explored the aft of the ship and found a lovely pool! Finally it was time for the sail away party at the Neptune pool. The cast and crew danced and it was a joyful time. For dinner, we went to the Botticelli dining room. Again, the food left us a little disappointed. But I can say without reservation, the service onboard was the best service we've ever had at sea. It was a long day for us. I think we woke up around 4AM and didn't go to bed until 10:30PM! We had a wonderful experience embarking the ship, and it really set the tone for what was to come in the next week. Already on day one, we were excited about doing this again one day. Check back for a new video every Monday, Thursday, and Sunday! You can send me mail to my P.O. Box!
