Creator's Key Takeaways
It is just a beautiful day for imbarcation. So far, it's been really easy.
The verdict is they do not have medallions for us. We are going to be given temporary cards.
I tried it today. Can confirm it is very good pizza.
If this is the worst day, it's going to be a fantastic cruise.

About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Descriptionโ
It's finally time for our cruise! We hired a private driver to take us to Pier 91, where we were able to quickly drop off our luggage and go through security. We had to wait in the Blue line to get medallions, since ours were not delivered to our home before we flew to Seattle. Unfortunately, there were no medallions prepared for us in the cruise terminal, so we had to wait a few minutes more to have temporary cards made for us to use to get on the ship. We waited in line on the ramp to board the ship, but that line moved quickly and we were onboard within only 5 minutes! The first hour onboard was complete chaos - we had to get medallions from the Guest Services desk, check with the Port Adventures desk what had happened with one of our excursions due to a port arrival time, dash up to the Sanctuary to book chairs for Glacier Bay day, and make reservations at the Salon for Emma to get her hair done. We did all of this, and watched the safety video on the app before checking in at our Muster station. Then we found a nice comfy spot to sit and wait for our room to be ready! We became hungry before the rooms were ready though, so we went up to the pool deck to try their famous pizza and burgers. Finally the room was ready so we went down to dump off our stuff and check it out. The sail away party was delayed, but we had just enough time to watch the sail away party before making it to our dinner reservation at the Michelangelo dining room at 5pm. After dinner, we checked out the shops, and the laundry room on deck 9, went back up to the pool deck to get blankets from Movies Under the Stars and lemonade from the buffet. Then it was bedtime. Embarkation day is usually a long, busy, hectic, overwhelming day, and this day was no exception. Still, we were happy to be on the ship and beginning our Ultimate Alaska Cruise with Princess!
