Seward, Alaska is one of my favorite places. I had been looking forward to this day for a long time. The ship got into port around 8, and we disembarked not too long after that. There is a free shuttle to get into town from the cruise ship dock, which is what Emma chose to do. Mom and I walked the short distance, and we all arrived at about the same time. We had a wonderful breakfast at the Breeze Inn restaurant, where our friends Adam and Sherri from @LeggLife joined us! They very graciously drove from Anchorage to spend the day with us in Seward, which is just a couple of hours drive from where they live. After breakfast, we went to the Resurrect Art Coffee House for some yummy coffees and to catch up with our friends. Then we went to the Alaska SeaLife Center. We spent several hours enjoying the SeaLife center and all the wildlife that were in residence. Next, we walked through a bit of downtown and did some shopping. Once in a Blue Moose had some wonderful Seward souvenirs! Then we went to a waterfront park where we enjoyed the lovely Seward sunshine and some local beers that Adam had purchased and brought from Anchorage for us. It was a wonderful day that we got to spend with friends, and I am so grateful to them for everything they have done for us.
