Creator's Key Takeaways

I'm currently on board a 12- night cruise on one of the oldest and smallest cruise ships in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet.

But what she does have has changed the way that I think about cruising on older ships.

I flew to Copenhagen in Denmark to embark the ship, and it was one of the easiest embarcations I've ever had anywhere.

I love that Norwegian were actively looking for feedback, and I always think that's the best way to improve something.

ad - I’m currently onboard a 12-night cruise on one of the oldest and smallest cruise ships in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet. The ship I’m sailing on is Norwegian Star, she was built in 2001 and she doesn’t have any of features that you’ll find on the newest biggest ships. She doesn’t have high-tech dining theres no drop slides or go karts but what she does have has changed the way that I think about older cruise ships. Cruising has changed a lot in the last 24 years and in this cruise I’ve seen how first hand how its changed, for better and for worse. ** Pssst, you'll see 'ad' or 'paid promotion' on all content created on this trip as it was a press trip. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and Norwegian have made no changes to this video. That means that I get to show you things I normally off limits and you get bonus content. Woohoo!! ** 😇 Important links: - Check out Norwegian Star's cruises on the Norwegian website here (she's cruising to Iceland and Norway next summer too!): https://bit.ly/3Isf2gT - I had TWO cabins on this cruise, yep two! To find out how they were, check out this video next: https://youtu.be/MdEstoIiaDU?si=l2Nt_hkpI03p4_Rt A couple of months ago I cruised on Norwegians brand new cruise ship Norwegian Aqua and I had an incredible time onboard doing so many fun things. I wasn’t sure if Star would be able to compare but the itinerary was what sold me on this cruise. I hoped that I wouldn’t find the ship boring or worn down but for the chance to visit Svalbard and Iceland I figured it was worth the risk. I often find that older ships have itineraries that are more interesting to me so if I did like this ship, it would open up a lot more options. I did want to enjoy the cruise part too though, it couldn’t be all about the itinerary. I flew to Copenhagen in Denmark to embark the ship and it was one of the easiest embarkations I’ve ever had anywhere. Seeing the hull art on the ship was definitely reassuring because theres no doubt that she's the Norwegian Star with all those stars on her. The Norwegian ships have some of the best-looking hulls and they’re always recognisable from a distance. ▶ FREE COURSE.
