Great Stirrup Cay is the last stop on our 9-day cruise throughout the Caribbean. We are one of the first passengers to get aboard a tender to the port on Great Stirrup Cay as we booked an excursion to ride a wave runner on the ocean. We are first timers, so this will be a learning experience. There were a few kinks along the way, but it wasn't anything we couldn't handle. We had a great time along this guided tour, the guys running the show live in the area and know what they are talking about giving us history lesson along the way. After we get done with the wave runner, we rented clamshell lounge chairs to have a little break from the sun as we snorkel and float in the ocean. We used our "Free At Sea Plus" drink package on the island. It was utilized just like we were on board the ship. After walking around the island, we got back in the ocean for a little snorkeling. Norwegian Cruise Line puts "artifacts" under the water for a fun surprise. Great Stirrup Cay is a private island in the Bahamas owned by Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL).
