Our first stop takes us to the solemn yet striking Civilian War Memorial, a poignant reminder of Singapore's tumultuous past. From there, we make our way to the vibrant Youth Olympic Park, a testament to Singapore's commitment to youth and sports excellence. As we stroll along the fantastic Helix Bridge, marvelling at it's architectural brilliance, we arrive at the Art & Science Museum, a futuristic marvel that seamlessly blends art, science, and technology. Continuing our exploration, we delve into the bustling Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, where we discover a treasure trove of luxury boutiques and designer stores. At the Red Dot Museum, we immerse ourselves in contemporary design and innovation before exploring Singapore's financial centre marvelling at the breathtaking "Momentum" sculpture by David Gerstein. Our day culminates with a visit to the iconic Merlion Park, where we find the famous fountain under wraps, being cleaned!! Finally we return to the hotel and indulge in a delectable dinner at the Asian Market Restaurant, savouring the diverse flavours of Asian cuisine in a vibrant and lively atmosphere. We made a bucket list of places we want to visit and Steve’s choice was Asia, he loves the continent, enjoys exploring the culture and landscapes. So we booked a cruise with Celebrity Cruises adding on some hotel days at the start and end of the holiday to explore Hong Kong and Singapore. Neither of us have been to the places on this itinerary previously. So on this adventure we explore on our own and we also take ship excursions to maximise our time and experience.
