SHERIFF’S OFFICE RELEASE: Last night, Sgt. Jim Acklin was severely burned while attempting to arrest a male with a felony warrant. We would like to thank the Portage County community as well as those from all over Ohio for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes. Sgt. Acklin’s family, both blood and blue appreciate the support.
