Our day in Skagway was a beautiful one. We started the day meeting for the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad excursion in the Princess Theater. They walked us through the ship to the gangway, and then we loaded onto a shuttle bus to get through the danger zone of the active landslide alongside the cruise ship dock. We boarded the last car of the train right there where the shuttle dropped us off, and the train took us up far enough into the mountains that it was snowing! It's such a beautiful train ride, I would definitely recommend you go at least once if you have the means to go. Upon our return back to town, we walked to the Skagway Brewing Company for lunch, which was fantastic. Then we walked up Broadway, shopping our way up the street. Next, we went to the Skagway Spirits distillery. We shopped our way back down toward the water before having another beer flight at Klondike Brewery. Finally, we made our way back to the ship. We skipped dinner in the main dining room, choosing to have dinner delivered by room service instead. It was a long day, with a lot of walking, but the train ride was wonderful and we had a marvelous time.
