About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description↓

Linda Carol Woodward is the Author of 'A Peep Through the Porthole'. Beyond the door marked 'Crew Only'. Having worked on cruise ships for fifteen years, I have a rich memory bank full of stories to tell; a wealth of incidences to share of my journey through life on the high seas. Cruise ship life becomes very seductive. We have a saying amongst us: β€œJust one more contract.” I was soon to learn that when you stepped off that steep gangway and into the cold steel hub of the crew area, you were saying goodbye to: weekend lie-ins, Sunday roasts with the family and quiet evenings watching your favourite soap with the cat curled on your lap. Life, for the duration of your contract, would be a frenzy. I worked with a variety of dancers, musicians, hosts and managers. They were all extroverts; high-energy, crazy nuts. I fitted in perfectly. We lived in a confined crazy bubble, but it was our crazy bubble. It’s the lifestyle that (ever-curious) passengers are, under no circumstances, allowed to witness or take part in. A β€œPeep through the Porthole” offers a juicy taste of what really happens behind closed doors marked: β€œCrew Only”. Join us and ask Linda questions about her time on Cruise Ships.
