We are spending the weekend in Oxnard, California in Ventura County. It is known for its 7 miles of wide beaches, sand dunes, excellent cuisine, biking paths, and a variety of water sports in the Channel Island Harbor. From the coast of Oxnard, you can see California's Channel Islands. We are staying that the Embassy Suites by Hilton Mandalay Bay, the only all-suite oceanfront resort in Southern California. The resort is complete with a pool, waterfalls, and beach-front rooms that are perfect to work from home on your staycation. We rent surrey bikes along the Hollywood Beach path, check out Port Hueneme Pier, and kayak the Channel Island Harbor which is filled with surprises and wildlife. We also check out a bit of history at the Heritage Park which is filled with old Victorian homes. Oxnard is also known for its craft ale and wine bar scene, as well as a variety of cuisines from Brazilian to Mexican. We order take-out from a few of our favorite local Oxnard restaurants and take it to the beach for a perfect view.
