About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

Embark with us on an unforgettable journey from Cape Horn to Paradise Bay, traversing some of the most turbulent, remote and breathtaking seascapes on Earth. Our Antarctic cruise begins at the southern tip of South America, where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans converge in a tumultuous embrace. Cape Horn, often regarded as a sailor's graveyard, sets the stage for an adventure filled with awe and wonder. Here we witness dramatic cliffs, rugged coastlines, a beautiful and changing light, an introduction to the natural grandeur that awaits us. As we head south we cross the notorious Drake Passage, a body of water that has tested the mettle of explorers for centuries. We are prepared and have packed every seasickness remedy known to man, in the expectation of a rough ride, a necessary part of our quest to Antartica. Upon us reaching the Antarctic Peninsula firstly the weather clouds over and the snow falls then slowly in front of us the scenery transforms into a surreal ice kingdom. Towering glaciers, sculpted icebergs, and snow-capped peaks dominate the horizon. Whales become common place, teasing us as we travel along, and penguins float by on Icebergs. Join us as we continue towards Paradise Bay where the adventure deepens. This aptly named haven offers some of the most stunning vistas in Antarctica. Here, a natural harbour and placid ocean is surrounded by towering rugged ice cliffs with their heads held high in the clouds. The calm and beauty of Paradise Bay provide a stark contrast to the fierce waters of Cape Horn, encapsulating the diverse experiences of our journey. We made a bucket list of places we wanted to visit and Joanne's choice was Antarctica it is a continent that she has always wanted to see but no way was she ever going to go in a zodiac so when we found a scenic Antartica cruise we just had to go. So we booked a cruise with Celebrity Cruises adding on some hotel days at the start and end of the holiday to explore Buenos Aires. Neither of us have been to the places on this itinerary previously. This cruise now means that we have finally visited every continent. So on this adventure we explore on our own and we also take ship excursions to maximise our time and experience. We're never too old to keep exploring, so please join us.
