YouTube Video Description

Today is the day of the actual Panama Canal Transit! We didn't wake up at 4 am like everyone else on the ship. Instead, we slept in until 5:30 am and got up on deck just as the sun was coming up. We got to watch the ship enter the first set of locks at about 6:45 am. We spent the morning and the first part of the afternoon on deck 9 and 10, periodically moving around to take different pictures from around the ship. I used my binoculars and saw some monkeys in the jungle off the side of the ship! In the afternoon, mom and I did the "swim through the panama canal experience" before heading to a tequila and margarita tasting in the Cadillac Lounge. By the time our seminar was over, we were through the last lock and were entering the anchorage on the Atlantic side of the canal. Dinner was in Animator's Palate, and it was the first of two (TWO!!) lobster nights during our sailing. After dinner, mom and I went up to the Cove Cafe and read for about an hour before deciding to end our day. Captain Puckett's Panama Canal Book: https://amzn.to/31af8EE Chapters 0:00 Good Morning!
