Creator's Key Takeaways

Is the entertainment on Aurora old school cool or as cool as a stool in a pool?

It was good and I enjoyed it, but I was a bit annoyed that it wasn't what it said on the tin. 7 out of 10.

Nathan is a comedian, not a comedian. Know what I mean? Eight out of 10.

I absolutely loved it. Not all cheese is bad cheese. I mean, Steven Molharn is one of those plastic wrapped squares that you get on a cheap hamburger, but Boué Live is a chunky bit of Red Leester. Eight out of 10.

YouTube Video Description

P&O Aurora might be a small, traditional ship… but does that mean the entertainment is charming old-school fun, or has it drifted slightly into “dad dancing at a wedding” territory? Both? In this Aurora entertainment review, I take a look at everything there is to point your eyes at onboard — from production shows in the Curzon Theatre, cabaret in Carmens, late-night comedy, silent discos, noisy discos, the surprisingly massive cinema, and one very confusing relationship with Stephen Mulhern’s big cheesy face. There are shows with questionable names, a returning favourite act, a proper comedian rather than a cruise ship “comedian,” some very talented performers being slightly hindered by creative decisions, and one tribute act that was awful in exactly the right way. Is Aurora’s entertainment old school cool? Or as cool as a stool in a pool? Here, ladies and gentlemen… WE GO! P&O Aurora Entertainment Review – Shows, Cabaret, Comedy & Nightlife Onboard
