This is the holiday of a lifetime one we are never likely to repeat and very different to what we have done before. This cruise will allow us to see the fantastic sights and sounds of the southernmost continent in familiar luxury and no zodiacs involved!! We embark onto the Celebrity Eclipse for our Antarctica cruise full of excitement, anticipation and a little apprehension. We love these Solstice class ships and the last time we sailed on this ship was around ten years ago. We hope in this cruise to have an exhilarating experience that blends luxury with a bit of adventure giving us a unique opportunity to explore one of the most remote and pristine regions on Earth. We will be cruising in a suite which will allow us into the retreat restaurant, Luminae and also the suite lounge, ‘Michael’s Club’ This ship is familiar but also different. The ship has not yet been ‘revolutionised’ so we expect darker hues and less retreat perks. . We are in our favourite suite at the stern of the boat, room #7356, with views on two sides. We do a detailed room review crack open the bubbly and soak up the atmosphere. The journey not only offers a rare glimpse into one of the world's last frontiers not just a voyage, a transformative experience that we hope leaves a lasting impact on both heart and mind.We hope for towering glaciers, majestic icebergs, and an abundance of wildlife in their natural habitat. We made a bucket list of places we wanted to visit and Joanne's choice was Antarctica it is a continent that she has always wanted to see but no way was she ever going to go in a zodiac so when we found a scenic Antartica cruise we just had to go. So we booked a cruise with Celebrity Cruises adding on some hotel days at the start and end of the holiday to explore Buenos Aires. Neither of us have been to the places on this itinerary previously. This cruise now means that we have finally visited every continent. So on this adventure we explore on our own and we also take ship excursions to maximise our time and experience. We're never too old to keep exploring, so please join us.
