The Legg's took me to Homer last weekend for our second RV trip this summer. Thank you to Cruise America for supplying us with the RV for these trips! We left Friday and stopped several places along the way including the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center at the end of Turnagain Arm and St. Elias Brewing Company in Soldotna. We stayed three nights at Heritage RV Park on the Homer spit. Saturday we found the Homer Farmer's Market, visited at friend at Moore Music, tried some local wines at the Bear Creek winery, and had dinner at Fat Olives. Sunday was a lazy day and included a lot of reading and homework. In the afternoon, we were supposed to go on a 2 hour nature cruise which got pushed back to Monday morning due to weather. On that nature cruise we saw lots of sea otters, a few seals, and a bunch of birds. We didn't have any luck finding the orca pod that had been in the area but it was scenic and beautiful. Check back for a new video every Monday, Thursday, and Sunday! My filming equipment is minimal, but camera and tripod are linked below.
