Weekend Vlog :: preparing for a tropical storm, kickstarter book haul, mug organization 8/2-8/4

This weekend we were facing down a potential tropical cyclone, which ended up turning into a hurricane by Monday. Fortunately we were perfectly safe. Friday night, we went grocery shopping. I think a bunch of other people had the same idea, and were shopping to stock up before the storm. Saturday we prepared the house for the storm. We cleaned up the inside, so we had space for the outdoor furniture we planned on bringing in. We brought in the trash bins, some potted plants, and some other loose articles from the yard to the garage. We also organized our coffee mugs with some new wire racks mom had purchased at the dollar store - this was an organization project that made me immensely happy. Sunday we finally filmed our review of the Disney Cruise we went on in June. It was a long time coming, but it was a fun one to film. We're even running a giveaway, which is something I've never done before. We'll be picking the winners on Tuesday 8/20 and I'll be reaching out to them via Instagram that same day. Sunday night, the storm started closing in on the coast of Florida, and we got more intense bands of storms from the tropical storm. Thank you to everyone who reached out to ask how we were doing!
