Creator's Key Takeaways

I almost always get my formal night clothes from Amazon, because they're affordable and surprisingly (sometimes) high quality and stylish.

This is the rare instance where the product photos don't even do the product Justice it looks so much better on a real person.

Creator's Tips & Advice

Prioritize wrinkle-free fabrics for cruise formal wear since irons are not allowed on board.
Stick to a budget of around $60-$65 for formal night outfits.
Consider the 'cape effect' for a dramatic entrance on formal night.
Be mindful of zippers and fabric cling when choosing dresses, especially for solo cruisers.

It's time to refresh my cruise closet, including finding some new stuff to wear on formal night (or "elegant night."). You can find all of these here: https://urlgeni.us/amazon/profmelissaamazon For reference, these are all size large and I'm 5'9" and generally wear around a size 8/10. I almost always get my formal night clothes from Amazon, because they're affordable and surprisingly (sometimes) high quality and stylish. I also consider the "wrinkle factor" since no cruise lines allow guests to have irons or steamers. Now, dressing up is an optional thing on cruises, and if you don't want to bother with being formal, that's okay; you don't have to. Just know that many cruise lines have dress code requirements for elegant nights, but these only apply to dinner in the MDR (Main Dining Room). Some lines, like Carnival and Royal Caribbean, don't do much by way of enforcement, but others, like Holland America Line, are much more strict. Most short cruises (5 nights or less) will have one elegant night, and longer ones will have two. ------------------------------------------------ LINKS 🛳 Shop my favorite cruise outfits and essentials: https://profmel.com/shop 🛳 Want to become a travel agent? https://www.profmelissa.com/travelagent 🛳 Get my top recommended travel card: http://www.profmel.com/card 🛳 Want to book a cruise or take a cruise with me? https://profmel.com/book 🛳 Get FREE Port Guides, cruise advice, and more at https://www.profmelissa.com/ 🛳 Get my FREE Cruise Packing List & Planning Guide: https://profmel.com/subscribe 🛳 Want to book my favorite private drivers? http://www.profmel.com/drivers ------------------------------------------------- CONNECT WITH ME TikTok: / professormelissa Facebook: / profmelissacruises Instagram: / dr_melissa_newman ------------------------------------------------- Please note that sometimes my posts contain affiliate links.
