Welcome to Episode 3 of our Marella Explorer Canarian Flavours cruise series! π’βοΈ Today, weβre heading into Arrecife for some sightseeing, shopping, and a bite to eat! π΄ Last time we visited, we took the Timanfaya National Park Excursion Situated on the west coast of Lanzarote, Timanfaya National Park is a must-visit, featuring over 5,000 hectares of lava fields and volcanoes that resemble the surface of Mars. We previously did this tour with P&O. The 4-5 hour tour takes you through the dramatic volcanic terrain, offering breath-taking views at every turn. β Coffee & Sweet Treats on Marella Explorer We checked out The Coffee Port on Deck 6. This cosy spot serves up barista-made coffee, cakes, and chocolates, perfect for those with a sweet tooth! While drinks here are an extra charge, some coffees are included in the Premium Drinks Package. π° Exploring Arrecife We took a scenic walk through Arrecifeβs charming marina before visiting Castillo de San Gabriel, a 16th-century fortress that once protected the city from pirates! Entry is free, though donations are welcome. The exhibits are in Spanish, but the history and views from the top make it well worth a visit! π½οΈ Dinner at Kora La - Marellaβs Pan-Asian Restaurant In the evening, we dined at Kora La, Marella Cruises' speciality Pan-Asian restaurant. For Β£32pp, we enjoyed a fantastic meal β though we ate so much, we needed a 3-hour nap afterwards! π΄ π Relaxing in the Thermal Suite We also made full use of our Thermal Suite Pass, which gave us unlimited access throughout the cruise β a great way to unwind after a busy day exploring. π₯ Missed Episode 2?
