We recently went on the NCL Gem's 11-Day Panama Canal Cruise. On day 10, we had a port-of-call day at Cozumel, Mexico. We exited the NCL Gem directly onto the dock. We spent some time in the Port of Cozumel, then met our tour guide for our excursion. We then boarded a bus to visit the sites in our excursion for today's "Island Discovery and Chocolate Experience" excursion. We had a great time and enjoyed learning about their culture. We went to a Mayan Bee Sanctuary, a beach bar and restaurant, the Cacao Company Store, and Barrecieto's for a tequila lecture and tasting. The entire cruise includes 4 total at-sea days and 6 port of call days including Georgetown, Grand Cayman, Cartagena, Columbia, the Panama Canal and Colon, Port of Gamboa, and Port of Balboa, Panama, Puerto Limon, Costa Rica, Harvest Caye, Belize, and Cozumel, Mexico. We highly recommend the NCL Gem and the 11-Day Panama Canal Cruise itinerary if you want to take a cruise. Even at 11 days, we never got bored once, which was our fear.
