Our last day on the Enchanted Princess brings us to an old favorite, Portland, Maine! After breakfast we went through the customs process since we were technically returning to the US after going abroad. Once we were cleared to be back on US soil we made our way through the port terminal and thankfully found a taxi waiting! There were several taxi's lined up on the curb with set amounts per hour so we connected with the driver and made arrangements to see the Portland Headlight, which is the famous lighthouse in Portland, and off we went. We booked to have the taxi for 1 hour at $70 (plus tip), which gave us time for the round-trip drive and 20ish minutes at the lighthouse. Once we were back at the cruise port we hopped back on the ship to have lunch and take our son to Camp Discovery. At that point the clouds had cleared and we were back out to Portland! This time we took time shopping for souvenirs, picked up a Lone Pine Pumpkin doughnut at The Holy Doughnut, and wrapped up the food tour with a lobster roll from DiMillo's on the Roll. Now that we were happy clams with full bellies, we walked ourselves back to the ship, picked up our son, and enjoyed cookies and sorbet. Before the evening was over we enjoyed a surprise towel animal tutorial with our room steward Carlos! This was especially exciting given that we learned to make a towel sea turtle, which happens to be one of our family favorite animals! 0:00 Welcome to Portland, Maine 0:17 Taxi Ride to Portland Headlight 4:15 Views of Portland from the Enchanted Princess 4:46 Walking around Portland 5:20 The Holy Doughnut 6:05 Doughnut Taste Test! 8:20 Lobster Roll at DiMillo's on the Roll 9:47 Back to the ship 11:25 Cookies! 11:47 Gelato & Sorbet 13:03 Towel Animal Tutorial with Carlos! #travel #cruise #princesscruises #enchantedprincess #canadacruise #obstructedbalcony #seekfindtravel #cruiseship #newengland #famiylvlog #vlog #travelvlog #familytravel #canada #newenglandcruise #portland #maine #holydoughnut #lobsterroll #sunset #fyp
