This goes for the cruise and additional purchases. 2. Not all cruise ships are the same! Choose your ship based on what you want. New ships offer more amenities and older ships may be very basic. 3. The drink package may cost more than paying out of pocket 4. You can order more in the dining room, the portions are small. 5. You may not need a balcony cabin. These cost more and is the most common cabin available. You can save money booking an interior. 6. Boarding times may not be checked 7. Use private islands as FREE days. Don’t spend extra money here. 8. Cruise lines want you to spend money onboard! They break even on the cruise fare. They make money on drinks, in the casino and the shops. 9. Loyalty programs are overrated! 10. If you cancel, the cruise line will keep your money… buy insurance!
