2024 Carnival Panorama excursion in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to Yelapa and Majahuitas Beach

Our excursion for Puerto Vallarta was a large catamaran boat trip to Yelapa and Majahuitas Beach. It was billed as a two-stop trip. First to Majahuitas Beach where you could snorkel if you wished and/or enjoy the beach. Then the boat would go a little further down the shore and drop you at Yelapa town where you can walk the town and/or go to a waterfall or they would take you in the dinghy to Yelapa beach right next to the town. We opted for the beach as the guide said the waterfall was currently just a trickle of water. On the way back to Puerto Vallarta, the boat staff put on a wonderful lip-sinc show for us! Beware of the Majahuitas part of the excursion. Our boat's captain would not bring us ashore in the dinghy so you had to swim 50 yards to shore (with your phone, towels, bags) while our sister's boat captain brought his boat's people to shore in their dinghy. MANY non-swimming people on our boat were upset and the captain would not give a reason for not bringing us. So frustrating! Other than that, it was very beautiful and we recommend the excursion if you don't mind the swim or you're lucky enough to be in the other boat.
