My FIRST time visiting the AZORES and you are coming with me to the Portuguese islands of Terceira and Sao Miguel for 3 days, as we continue our Fred Olsen cruise on Borealis. So far we've sailed for 3 days to reach Terceira, Azores, with so much going on onboard our cruise ship. In this episode we arrive into the Azores and on Terceira, take an 8 hour tour starting in the north (liquorice wine tasting), to the south and the volcano of Monte Brasil, to the city of Agra Do Heroismo, a traditional lunch and some incredible vantage points on the island with sweeping views. Back onboard Fred Olsen Borealis we will keep exploring venues and trying out the food. The following 2 days we'll spend on the island of Sao Miguel, with Ponta Delgada as our base. We'll head, by jeep, to the crater rim of Sete Cidades, head down into the caldera to visit the village, plus some Hawaii-esque landscapes and crazy, narrow roads! That afternoon, a visit to a pineapple plantation with some surprising findings! Next up, a RIB excursion in search of whales and dolphins, and you won't believe how much marine life we encounter in 3 hours before exploring downtown Ponta Delgada and a precarious spiral staircase up a bell tower! Back onboard, it's BBQ night, grand buffet and party party on the open decks! I am excited to share this adventure with you all. Let's do this!
