We began the year in Barcelona, flying on LEVEL Airlines, staying steps from Sagrada FamΓlia, and exploring Gaudí’s architectural masterpieces near La Rambla and GrΓ cia. Next came our second sailing on Carnival Horizon from Miami, visiting Aruba, Bonaire, and CuraΓ§ao, walking across the famous Queen Emma Bridge. We celebrated Isa’s birthday aboard Amtrak Floridian before flying to our newest continent - Australia. From Sydney Opera House to Sydney Harbour Bridge, and wildlife encounters at Taronga Zoo and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, it was unforgettable. Africa was next - a magical stop in Paris to see the Eiffel Tower, then onward to Morocco, exploring Casablanca, the stunning Hassan II Mosque, and the vibrant souks of Marrakech. Summer brought Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Canada visits, and our biggest tent yet for Long Island camping. Then came our 12-day Pacific Northwest adventure - Portland, Seattle, and boarding Royal Caribbean International’s Quantum of the Seas for Alaska. Stops included Ketchikan, Sitka, Juneau, and glacier views at Dawes Glacier in Endicott Arm. We packed in Universal Islands of Adventure, explored the National Mall in Washington, D.C., visited Mount Rushmore, fell in love with Grand Teton National Park, and added Idaho and Montana. Asia took us to Pakistan via Qatar Airways, with a Doha layover exploring Souq Waqif and the Corniche. South America brought us to Santiago, overlooking the skyline from Sky Costanera. And we ended the year with one of the most intense experiences of our lives - a safari where lions walked directly above our protected cage. From 75,000+ miles in the sky to glaciers, deserts, cities, and wildlife, 2025 proved that travel is not about escaping life. It’s about building it together.
