Travel news for the week ending February 12, 2022. β’ Cancun & Mayan Riviera are moving back to Yellow Covid status this week after dropping to Orange and amid concerns that they might even go down to Red. Cases are dropping so things can open up again β’ It's been rumoured that Canada will be modifying its current border restrictions, with the current PCR test requirement being shifted to the requirement for an Antigen test (which is significantly less expensive). Who this will apply to and when this will be implemented remains to be seen. β’ Both the Crystal Symphony & Serenity were seized last weekend by creditors and there are rumours that the Symphony has been listed on a site that sells private yachts. If it is sold off, that could signal the end for Crystal cruises β’ Hawaii is considering a ban on plastic single-use toiletries in hotels, to be replaced by bulk dispensers β’ Las Vegas has lifted its mask mandate, so wearing a mask in a casino is now optional (however, casinos reserve the right to keep restrictions in place).
