Creator's Key Takeaways

I'm on the Alaskan Explorer itinerary with American Cruise Lines on the 170 passenger cruise ship, American Constitution.

Chilkoot Lake was an absolutely gorgeous place, so peaceful and uncrowded.

I met some really great people on this cruise.

I'll share with you one of the most exciting parts of the whole trip for me. A thrilling high-speed jetboat ride up a river on the way to see a glacier.

YouTube Video Description↓

This is episode #2 of the story of my 2025 Alaska cruise with American Cruise Lines. If you'd like to watch episode #1, it's at: https://youtu.be/fdChaDcV7Cg The name of the cruise ship was American Constitution and the name of the itinerary was Alaskan Explorer. The cruise started in Juneau and finished ten days later in Juneau again. I'm a licensed commercial drone pilot, so this series of videos features a lot of very high quality aerial video. Unfortunately, in certain parts of Alaska it is illegal to fly a drone... such as in national parks and designated federal wilderness areas. So, in those areas I shoot videos from ground level. In this episode of my four-part series, the ship visits the small town of Haines, where I go on a bus excursion that takes me to one of the most beautiful lakes I've ever seen. The name of the lake is Chilkoot Lake. Later, I visit a natural history museum and raptor center, where I get a close-up look at some bald eagles. Next, our ship spends almost a full day in Glacier Bay National Park, where we see whales, sea lions, sea otters, and more. The views of the glaciers and snow-capped mountains are among the best views in all of Alaska. In part 3 of the series, which should come out a week or two after this episode, I'll visit the cities of Sitka and Petersburg... and in part 4 of the series I'll do a lot of scenic cruising, visit the city of Wrangell, and go on a thrilling jet boat ride up a river to see a glacier. Demand for these cruises within the USA, which do not even require a passport, has been soaring... causing American Cruise Lines to embark on a major expansion of their fleet in order to meet the demand. They are currently introducing a new ship to the fleet every four months, and plan to continue doing so for the next several years at least.
