In Aarhus, we explored Den Gamle By, a living history museum featuring buildings dating back to the mid-16th century, including fascinating merchants' homes and shops. We immersed ourselves in Danish history through these beautifully preserved structures. The next day, we visited Skagen’s Voergård Castle, admiring its intriguing history and impressive art collection. This blend of historical exploration and artistic heritage made for a memorable and enriching experience. This 5-part series explores: Kiel, Germany, where pay a visit to the poignant Maritime and Naval Heritage Museum. Helsinki, Finland, where spend two days visiting Temppeliaukio (Rock) Church, Helsinki Cathedral, and the Sibelius Monument - then meet some furry friends at a Reindeer Encounter and Husky Hike. Tallinn, Estonia, where we spent the day exploring the Old Town, including Viru Gate, Kohtuotsa viewing platform. Visby, Sweden, where we visited the beautifully serene Botanical Garden and several fascinating ruins. Klaipeda, Lithuania, where we visited the archeological site at Klaipeda Castle and museum. We also explored the town. Warnemunde, Germany, where we rode on a vintage tram, and saw the 15th c astronomical clock inside St. Mary's Church, before boarding a boat for a river cruise. Aarhus, Denmark, where we visited the immersive Den Gamle By open-air village museum.
