About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description↓

Part two of my Antarctica series and another unforgettable day on board Celebrity Equinox. Antarctica really is beyond words. The scenery is simply spectacular and every moment out on deck felt like something from another world. One of the most incredible sights was watching penguins flying through the water. The Antarctic waters were so clear we could actually see them swimming beneath the surface before they burst out of the water and porpoised across the waves. Absolutely fascinating to watch. Our voyage also took an unexpected turn when a passenger needed an emergency medical evacuation. The ship sailed to King George Island so the guest could be flown to mainland Chile for treatment. It was a powerful reminder of just how remote Antarctica really is. I do hope they’re feeling better, I heard they had renal stones. Because of the diversion we missed visiting Elephant Island, but instead sailed to Half Moon Island, which turned out to be a magnificent alternative. I was told by someone who has visited both several times that Half Moon Island is actually the better experience, and the scenery there certainly proved it. Antarctica continues to amaze me. The scale, the wildlife, the silence and the beauty are simply extraordinary. Words really do not do it justice. Next in the series, my visit to the Falkland Islands, be prepared for MANY penguins.
