For those of us in the North American cruise market, AIDA Cruises is a relatively unknown company, even though they are one of the leading cruise lines found in the European Market, and, as a result, their history and amazing ships, are relatively unknown. Even for myself, as I researched in preparation for this video, I was learning a lot and, as I did so, I slowly began to realize just how important and cool this cruise line is and what their unique ships have to offer. I hope this video will help you learn more about this sector of the cruise industry! AIDAnova is arguably the face of this cruise line, and she marks an important milestone for the industry. Not only was she the first in a major and important class for both AIDA and Carnival Corporation, but she was the beginning of a new generation of cruise ships that have the ability to be powered by LNG and focus of near 100% energy efficiency.
